Our Story
From a young age, Honour T. Mays has had the Determination, Drive, and Dedication to succeed at his most beloved sport, Basketball.
In Partnership with Faith's Place Center for Arts Education, Honour Mays decided to give other children the opportunity to Honor God's name through their passion for Basketball, by challenging them to be a better athlete.
MEET THE JUDGES
RALPH NADER is a percussionist from Brooklyn, NY. Ralph started his performing career in the Jackie Robinson Center "Steppers" Marching Band. Entertaining is his calling, and Ralph does it best with celebrities, sport teams and stadium events. As a member of Black Fire Percussion, he performed with the NY Knicks and NJ Nets Drumlines during time-outs and halftime performances. While studying at Hampton University, Ralph was a member of the "Marching Force Drumline," but, in the football off-season, Ralph performed and competed with the 18-time world champion Concord Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps from Concord, CA. With the Blue Devils, he was a 2-time World Champion gold medal and drum title winner. After graduating from Hampton University, Ralph was westward bound, taking his innovative ideas and drumming flare to many places. BYOS has become a social media sensation. BYOS has put Ralph on the radar of Tony Royster Jr. (Jay Z's former drummer), Allen Stone (R&B Soul artist), Travis Barker (Blink-182), and Beyoncé (her Coachella Festival concert) where he has given spellbinding performances with them all! Ralph, too, is an international educator with a ProMark signature marching stick to highlight his popular achievements. Ralph's signature stick is available world-wide and at other local ProMark dealers.
JEREMIE FOSTER .is a graduate Bethune-Cookman University. He is a former Percussion Section Leader in the Marching Wildcats Band of Bethune-Cookman University from 2014-2017. He has many percussion accomplishments but there are a few that stand out like performing in Drumline 2 and becoming a member of the Atlanta Hawks Drumline also known as the "ATL Boom.” He is the host of "The Drum Lounge Podcast” which is a podcast catered toward highlighting the world of percussion. As a popular percussionist, he has over 1,000,000 views on YouTube. Mr. Foster is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America and Snare Si Phi. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
Aaron Lockhart, creator and producer for Dubba-AA is a native of West Palm Beach, FL and born into a family of musicians. Lockhart started playing drums at a young age, picking up a pair of drumsticks at the age of 2. From kindergarten through college, Lockhart was able to learn all aspects of the major percussion instruments.
Lockhart attended Tennessee State University. He served as a member of all University bands including wind symphony and percussion ensembles. When not touring or producing, he resides in Atlanta, GA.

This event will be for the talented groups of students who play percussive instruments in elementary, middle, high and community music programs.
AWARDS CEREMONY
This portion of the event will serve as the culminating event for the Percussion Competition. There will be an award given to each winning drumline of the competition as well as to the best sections. The percussion competition will be held in the Gymnasium of Boynton Beach High School.
